19:10 - Breeders Cup F&M (Turf) - Warm Heart 11/4

In an internationally represented renewal of the F&M Turf I believe Warm Heart could easily beat a strong field here. Warm Heart has been a revelation this season winning 5 races (1 listed, 1 G2 and 2 G1’s included) and forgetting the blip at The Curragh she’s been pretty much unbeatable. I’d say her best performances this season were at Ascot and at York where the ground was Good to Firm at both therefore she should get her optimum ground conditions. Not only does she have scintillating levels of ability but she’s also incredibly tenacious and I think if Ryan can get her in a battle (likely to be with Inspiral) there will only be one winner. I’d like Ryan to sit just off the pace and pounce on the home turn, if he does this correctly- she will not be beaten for the greatest trainer of all time. 🇮🇪 🐐

21:50 - Breeders Cup Turf - Auguste Rodin 2/1

Think the market has this race pretty spot on: think the top 3 in the market will finish 1-2-3. Now I don’t know a great deal about the American and Japanese formlines, but I’m not sure you’ll need to. Auguste Rodin has King Of Steel covered on the Derby and Irish Champion Stakes, and with Ascot only coming 2 weeks ago you can’t be sure how much that would’ve taken out of him. Onesto gets his quick ground, and he ran a very good race in the Arc when staying on over the further trip. But, again Auguste Rodin has him covered on the Irish Champion Stakes. Mostahdaf looks the biggest threat and you can’t fully write him off. He does favour a quick surface, but the draw’s probably not ideal. Then you have Crowley Vs Ryan Moore in a finish, I know who I’d rather have jocked. And AOB is the GOAT. Auguste Rodin still likely to have improvement to come, and he gets a nice 4lb 3yo allowance still. He comes here fairly well fresh and should be drawn perfectly to attack from stall 5 (basically 4 with the NR)

22:40 - Breeders’ Cup Classic (Dirt) - Ushba Tesoro 10/3

A weak looking renewal of the Breeders’ Cup Classic here, and I’m surprised Ushba Tesoro isn’t a clear favourite. The Japanese Raider brings the highest calibre of form in this field as he took the G1 Sheema Classic in March by a cosy 2 3/4L over the 120r Algiers. He’s an uncomplicated type but will benefit from a strong pace, which he should have in here with Saudi Crown drawn 6. His main danger (Arabian Knight) is drawn in 12 and will be using plenty of gas up early on should he try and track across to the rail like he has done the last twice, and the selection can capitalise on the leaders coming back to him in the last furlong.

23:25 - Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint - Caravel 6/1

We played a blinder last week with 3 out of 4 winners so let’s try and keep the hot streak rolling. My pick this week is Caravel to retain her Breeders Cup Turf Sprint crown. A large price winner last year, she’s around 6/1 to repeat the feat this year in what looks a far easier race. There is no Creative Force, Highfield Princess or Emaraaty Ana to compete with her here so I think this is her race to win. She started the season with a hattrick including another group 1 win but has been poor the last twice. I’m willing to excuse the last race after a 71 day break and I expect her to get the better of the winner of that now that the cobwebs have been blown away and she is 4lb better off. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love it if Live In The Dream won this for Adam West, Sean Kirrane and the De’Lemos family but I can’t see him backing up that Nunthorpe performance. His form has been improving all season and he’s well worth a crack at this because it looks a weaker renewal than usual but I’d happily take him on at 3/1 and the filly looks good value at double the price. Add to that the fact Brad Cox is currently in red-hot form and has a tremendous record at the Breeders Cup, I’m finding it hard to see her out of the frame from stall 3.
